wind whispered...
through the graveyard, nearby city hall...

like incantation, they woke up...
climbing out from the soft earth covering...
wearing old-fashioned clothes...
covering their distorted face with newspaper...

they strolled across the street...
skipping through water puddle...
dancing under the street light...
enjoying the resurrection...
it's halloween...

late night bus passed by..
they disguised themselves...
like lamp poles...
like wicked trees...
swaying bizarrely in the wind..
noone noticed them... noone should..

moon crawling up high...
suddenly the wind blew off all clouds...
dogs started to growl...
like infected human, transforming into werewolves...
joining the big parade across the city...
and moved, fast... moved, slow...

3 hours before sunrise...
the darkest period, before dawn...
they celebrated... this was the biggest fiesta yet...
wild they went... sang and danced...
forgetting the time...

sun rose...
too late to escape...
soon the cleaners will come...
they would be horrified...
but they knew...
it's just another halloween...
an unrevealed secret...
of the busy city...
